THE LAZE – Phantom Of The Opera OST LP

I’m not sure about this one. On one hand, it’s an absolute fuckin’ BELTER of a soundtrack…taking in heavy-riffing bum rock, 80s-synth, cheesy guitar, atmospheric ambient parts….but as a score to the original silent 20s classic I don’t think it works at all. I just don’t really get the motivation behind it really, they could’ve essentially re-scored ANY film with this soundtrack. So, in summation: get it cos the music’s good. Don’t listen to it with the film on!
