Another entry into Urashima’s series of reissues of rare Slaughter Productions material, here comes the turn of Slogun, and one of John Ballisteri’s earliest releases. This is grinding noise which has a lot of parrallels with contemporaries Bloodyminded. Very influenced by the caustic early 80s wave of power electronics – but much less sparse – with layer upon layer of horrible noise, samples and feedback. Harrowing but brilliant stuff. Lim 99.
