MASSGRAVE / SUFFERING MIND – Split 9″ + DVD

Behind The Mountain certainly seem to be a label obsessed with awkward vinyl sizes. I’m not really one for gimmicky stuff like this – it just makes the record more expensive to produce for no real tangible benefit other than it’s got an inch less of diameter – but fair play to them, there’s a million labels out there and you’ve got to differentiate yourself in some way really. You get around ten minutes from each band; Massgrave have a really rough dirty grind sound with a totally tinny drum sound, whilst SM play top-notch old school grind. I’ve had tons of gear in by them in the past year or so, I guess you’ll know the score by now! This release also features a DVD which has a live set by each band on it. Great value package!
