BUZZOV.EN – To A Frown LP

One of the greatest sludge bands, always thought Buzzov.en had a bit more of an accessible sound than say, Eyehategod. I remember when I first got Sore as a teenager being a bit gutted and thinking it sounded like Alice In Chains or something in comparison to the brutal nihilism of EHG, but you’ve got to take this in context of the late 80s/early 90s, think about Pessimiser bands, noise rock, stuff like 16 etc and you can see the massive influence Buzzov.en had. Listening to this now for the first time in absolute years it’s still absolute fuckin class actually, would defo recommend picking it up.
